Phnom Penh

A pig on the spit on the footpath outside a restaurant
French colonial architecture and some modern architecture / colour schemes that are ... interesting...
Neon enhanced Buddha

I arrived last night after sleeping most of the 5 or 6 hour trip.
Checked into the second guest house I looked at.
Today I have just wandered around really.
I started off at the Phnom Wat - the only hill in PP.
There is a 1$ charge for preservation for foreigners. I was tempted to do my part by removing the neon flashing halos from the Buddhas indside.... But then again, who am I to say that the Buddha can't have a dayglo effect...
I got my camera fixed - yesterday the lens cover stuck open - I think it may have something to do with the dust in Cambodia... Rather than seeing sites while it was being fixed I took a trip to the PO where stamps for overseas postcards are a foreigner tax - much more expensive than in Thailand, and got a massage by a blind person. I can't say my life is so stressful that massage makes a big difference, but it was a pleasant way to spend an hour.
